| Care of gemstones and freshwater pearls
All Nf Designs Jewellery is constructed using nylon-coated stainless steel wire for strength, to avoid accidental breakage and even loss of gemstones. While this method produces very strong pieces, rough handling, for example: being pulled by young children, may still cause breakage. It is advised that appropriate care be taken when wearing and handling beautiful Nf Designs Jewellery.It is important to remember that all gemstones and freshwater pearls are fragile and need to be handled with care. Particularly gemstones can be irreparably damaged when dropped on hard surfaces such as tiles or rubbed by other hard objects. When not being worn, your Nf Designs Jewellery purchase should be placed in a separate storage container, (preferably the felt wallet or box it was supplied in) to avoid damage by rubbing with other pieces of jewellery (also see our other jewellery storage solutions). It is also advisable to avoid wearing your Nf Designs jewellery while bathing and swimming. Caution is required with pieces of Nf Designs jewellery that use beads such as: coral, red jade and some colours of freshwater pearls. In some cases, these beads have been dyed to enhance their colour, particular care should be taken when wearing these pieces on hot days as the increase in body temperature may cause discoloration to skin and clothing. Although the likelihood of discoloration is rare it is possible, also avoid contact with perfumes and creams to ensure the life of your Nf Designs Jewellery.

At Nf Designs, we have, however, attempted to procure the best products available to produce the beautiful and unique pieces of jewellery showcased.
All products are carefully inspected to ensure they are in good order prior to being packed for shipping; all care is given in the packing of goods to ensure they are not damaged in shipping however goods damaged during shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser.
